Indoor skydiving is a fun way to discover the joy of human flight. In order to fly and experience the real sensation of free fall, multiple fans are pushing the air through a large wind tunnel, reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h.

For the development of our skydive tunnels, we use our high-end expertise in aerospace technology, aerodynamic design, flow simulations, engineering, software development and control system design. This is how we ensure that our tunnels have the highest air quality in the market.

During the years, we developed our own innovative solutions to reduce the noise and wake created at the door of the tunnel, and to reduce the minimum height of a wind tunnel.

We can deliver standard turn-key projects, but our custom wind tunnel design service makes us unique in the market. Depending on our customer’s wishes and requirements, we develop custom tunnel designs with optimized performance and minimal energy consumption.

We deliver our tunnels turn-key, but at Actiflow, you can also just buy the technical design and equipment, and build the tunnel construction with your own partners.

Personal Advice

During the initial “request for quotation” phase, we will discuss with you what you want, and what you need. People experienced in wind tunnel design and in the business of running an indoor skydive center will help you to set up a good business plan, to select the right tunnel based on a market research, and to organize the development project and your future tunnel operation.

Single Point of Contact

Some of our customers take the lead in the development and the construction of their own indoor skydiving facility, but most of our customers like us to be their single point of contact during the entire process of tunnel selection, design, development and even operation. This is exactly what we offer.

Project management

During the construction works, Actiflow will manage the project and deliver all hardware at the agreed time slots. As project manager, we will deal with all contractors and we will check if the wind tunnel is actually built according to our design and our quality standards.

Testing and training

When all construction and installation works are finished, Actiflow will do the commissioning of the wind tunnel. We will test all functionalities of the tunnel, including safety procedures, and we will train the operators and instructors. We will also give our advice on how to optimize the use of the tunnel and minimize the power consumption.

During the first 2 months of operation, we will visit the tunnel location several times to answer all your questions. If you would like to continue the cooperation with our technical and operational experts, and you would like to receive our constant performance reports and operational advice, we offer a long-term service contract to guarantee an optimal use of your facility.

Standard vs. custom wind tunnel design

We have several standard tunnels available with diameters between 10 and 17 feet, for both recreational and experienced flyers. However, we can also develop a custom wind tunnel design in a few months. Specific locations, available footprints, height constraints or government regulations can require a tailored solution. Actiflow is able to judge the feasibility of a skydive wind tunnel project at almost any location.
